A Gothic-Inspired Wedding in Charleston, WV
by WV Wedding Photographer, Lauren Love
I love a wedding with a theme. & in this case, Mike + Micah’s wedding decor inspiration was derived from Gothic-style art & architecture. This was pulled of SO well. They brought in stained glass windows, with built-in support so that they could stand freely on their own. I loved that the windows were featured in the ceremony & then moved to the reception space while we were busy taking portraits. It completely transformed both spaces. You’ll also notice Gothic-style influence through the statues scattered around the property. (Be on the lookout for the super cool flower vase!) Further, I loved the *very* appropriate stamps that were on the envelope of the invitation suite. aaaaand they wore heart sunglasses & danced the night away to 90s rock music. The end.
Just kidding! I have to shout out all the details that went into this event. Mike + Micah had incredible vendors to help make their wedding day as amazing as it could possibly be. The Putnam Market & Two Fine Ways killed it at executing the flow of this event as well as floral design & styling. Seriously! How gorgeous are those flowers?! Rock, Paper, Sisters provided the stationery. Bridge Road Bistro catered. The Boutique by B.Belle provided that stunning gown. & of course, J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works was their venue.
