Berry Hills Country Club Wedding
by WV Wedding Photographer, Lauren Love
Cassie & Matt had their wedding at Berry Hills Country Club located in Charleston, West Virginia. This venue is a favorite of mine! It’s so classy and versatile! They recently renovated a portion of their property and the ballroom was included in that. It’s now a beautiful neutral color that can be used alongside any wedding color palette. Cassie chose tones of pink and green to fill the space. This wedding turned out beautifully with custom decor such as the sign that hung above the cake table reading “Happily Ever Simpkins” & custom wine labels. Harless Printing Company created Matt and Cassie’s invitation suite as well as other special touches such as tags for their silverware and signs.
A couple of things I loved about this wedding: 1) the fact that Cassie reserved the “Spirit of Charleston” for transportation. 2) The fact that they had a cigar bar. 3.) The fact that they had a first look! I cannot stress enough how much easier first looks make a wedding day. We started the day with their first look at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works. I love this venue, so I was excited to hear she wanted to add some variety to her portraits by traveling to another location. Even in the mid-day sun, we were able to capture stunning portraits and flattering light. After their first look we headed back to the venue where the couple got married in a garden setting. Eventually we went into the ballroom for the reception where DJ Nick Scott kept the party going all evening.
