Romantic Louisville, KY Wedding
at Farmington Historic Plantation
by Kentucky Wedding Photographer, Lauren Love
Bold & romantic would be the words to best describe this wedding. Jess’ gown was from Hayley Paige, but she customized it by having a designer create a blush tulle skirt to wear over top as well as an ombre veil. Adding personal touches like this are what really make a wedding day special. Jewel tones filled her bouquet, designed by Oberer’s, and were the perfect pop of color to pair with blush and navy.
Matt & Jess decided on a first look, which you know I’m a fan of if you read my blogs. Beyond that they decided their first look would be a great time to read their personal vows to one another. I loved that they took that moment to express their love for each other through personal vows. If you’re the type that wants personal vows, but doesn’t want to recite them in front of everyone you know, then this would be the way to go. It made for some great pictures and some even better memories.
Another thing that stands out about this day is the fact that it rained. A lot. But you know what? Jess nor Matt let that ruin their day. In fact, they embraced it because they knew they’d only live this day once & at the end of it all they’d be together anyway. I loved this. The rain and their attitudes about it made everything that much more romantic. I loved the photos I was able to capture of them running into the reception & back into the building when it really started to pour. Candids like that are always my favorite!
I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from this wedding! Definitely don’t forget to watch the video Top Shelf Film Co put together for this couple at the end! At the bottom of this post, you can check out the entire vendor list.
